23 days to circumnavigate the globe in a private jet – the new over the top private tour available to the very wealthy.

The “Cultural Treasures” tour, put on by luxury tour company Abercrombie and Kent, will begin in Seattle on May 5th. 48 guests aboard a custom Boeing 757 jet. Seats aboard start at a modest $136,000, and include all meals and high-end resorts in every stop.

From Seattle, the tour starts in Guam, then several days in Cambodia to see the temples and monasteries of the Siem Raep province, including Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm and a choice between the Angkor Museum or a spa day. Then there’s a formal dinner in a millennia-old temple.

Next is Nepal, with a helicopter tour around the foot of Mount Everest and time in Kathmandu. The Taj Mahal is on the itinerary, with traditional Indian dress provided for a bazaar-themed dinner, and then on to Samarkand to learn about the history of the Silk Road and a concert in magnificent Registan Square.

Abu Dhabi is the first stop not themed around the ancient world, with auto racing and shopping on the docket, along with a desert glamping night out. In Jordan, the travelers will see Petra and Wadi Rum, and in Sicily, vintage cars wait for touring the countryside.

After all of that, the jet will land its passengers in Boston for the end of the trip. Eight major destinations in 23 days, very nearly making a complete circle of the world.

Everything, from rentals to meals to visas, will be handled by the tour director. At each location, the 48 passengers will be split into smaller groups with tour managers and local guides, to make sure their experience is as intimate as possible.

Three tours along the same lines are planned for 2023, two of them themed around safari instead of cultural marvels.
